Collaborate more intentionally with the other families in your community- communicate clearly and share responsibilities.
Part of family life is interacting with other families. Our lives are woven together at school, on sports teams, at church, in play groups, book clubs, after school activities, and beyond. As our lives intertwine, our different styles and needs often come into conflict, which can be draining and frustrating.
Thank heavens for the volunteers that help us live more peacefully together - room parents, team parents, small group leaders, and coaches. These unpaid and often under appreciated individuals lovingly pour into us and our children. The spend countless hours organizing and communicating.
Flourishing communities and flourishing families in those communities are marked by clear communication and the intentional sharing of responsibilities. These communities leverage tools like sign up forms to get everyone involved and keep everyone on the same page.
